This three hour interactive course is an opportunity to review, consolidate and expand on your learned knowledge for an individual who has been working for more than one year as an Immuniser. This Complex Catchup course will cover practising complex catch-up scenarios and provide an opportunity to ask questions and create your own scenarios that you have seen in your practice.
You will review and refresh your knowledge on catch-ups using the Australian Immunisation Handbook Catch-Up Tables. We will then practice using complex catch-up scenario’s. Using this time to ask questions and gain support to help you in your workplace.

Course details
Entrants to the Complex Catchups for Immunisation course must be registered with AHPRA. Relevant roles would include:
- Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Practitioners
- Enrolled Nurses
- General Practice Registrars

- Other Health Professionals who scope of practice includes immunising

The session consists of blended learning in a small interactive virtual classroom, which includes Immunisation catch-ups, sharing of knowledge information, and self-reflection activities.
This course is designed for the more confident health professional with some experience in creating immunisation catch-up schedules
By the end of this virtual workshop, you will have refreshed your knowledge on how to work through a more complex catch-up process and what needs to be considered. You will practice working through one or more scenario's using the Australian Immunisation Handbook Catch-Up Tables, and be provided with answers for questions you might have.
Virtual workshop. This workshop is delivered entirely online, utilising Zoom. It involves a face-to-face (virtual) workshop where students will practice catch-up scenarios and have an opportunity to ask questions and build scenarios they have seen in your practice.
There are no formal assessment requirements for this course.
An interactive virtual workshop for an experienced Immuniser in Australia, validating and expanding your clinical experiences are essential for your ongoing continued learning, and sharing these with other practitioners in a small classroom setting. Review catch-up principles and scenarios, and advance your learning by asking the questions you need from your clinical setting in a supportive environment. Discussing larger more complex catchup scenarios that may involve families and routine catchup schedules but with added complexity, such as country of origin.

This course is open for any Immunisers who have more than 1 year experience as an Immuniser in the Australian healthcare system, or are experienced and confident in creating immunisation catch-up schedules who wish to test their skills with like minded health professionals.
Once you have purchased and enrolled you will be prompted and reminded to download the student resource materials in readiness for the workshop. Write down any questions you have that you would like to ask on your student resources.
You will need access to a computer with a working camera and microphone, stable internet service.Unfortunately, you will not reap the benefits of the workshop using a handheld device or your phone. You will also need to have downloaded and tested the Zoom platform.
